Those who left hoof-prints on our
hearts
I have seen many
times a memorial page on several websites over the years, but I never expected
that I would have one of my own, let alone so soon. But sadly the day has
come. On this page you will find those who came into our lives, touched
our hearts and then crossed over the
God's Garden
God looked around his pastures,
and he found an empty place.
He then looked down upon this earth,
and saw your tired face.
He knew that you were suffering,
He knew you were in pain,
He knew that you would never
Be well on earth again.
He saw the trails were getting rough
And the hills hard to climb.
So he closed your weary eyelids and whispered,
"Peace be thine".
It broke our hearts to lose you,
But you did not go alone.
For a part of us went with you,
The day God let you home.

We lost Lexi totally
unexpectedly on August 2nd. We're still in shock as we do not know what
happened. She was fine the morning of the first, we went into town for a couple
hours and came home to her ill. Even with the help of the vets and
students at OSU we were unable to figure out what was wrong and she died in
route to OSU Columbus.
Though the time we had with her
was short, I will never forget her sweet disposition and am thankful for the
time she was in our lives. She left behind her 3 month old colt

The one who started it
all.. The one who captured our hearts and fueled our love for this breed.
Star colicked on us
Wednesday night, vet started her on banamine.. Mom, dad and Courtney kept a
close eye on her throughout the night and day. She didn't seem to get
worse, but wasn't getting better. Vet showed up at 6 pm and Star had gone
into shock and was unable to move her back legs. She said we had two
options: surgery or put her down. She advised my parents to put her down
as she felt with the onset of shock, Star's intestines had twisted too badly
and did not think that Star would make it off the surgery table even if we
tried. So they made the decision to end her pain.
I didn't get to say
good-bye which is the hardest part...

I still can't believe she's
gone. She was in our lives for only a short week, yet she captured our
hearts the moment we met her. I'm still confused on what happened and how
it could have happened to such a sweet mare. We truly believe she lived long
enough to bring her filly Misty into the world, leaving us a little piece of
her before crossing the
Thank you Fantom for your
gorgeous filly and may you forever rest in peace.
